Membership in the American Heraldry Society is open to anyone, anywhere, who is interested in the study and practice of heraldry. Memberships are available for individuals, families, and students.

The standard (individual) level of membership is $20 each year. Families (all members residing at the same household) have the opportunity to share a membership at a rate of $30 each year. Those under the age of 18 and full-time students can join for $10 each year.

Members receive access to the Members' section of the Forum and may elect to have their coat of arms displayed on this website. Members may participate in Society activities and vote in its elections. They may also serve on the Society's elected board of governors and serve on Society committees.

Yearly dues are payable in advance on January 1st of each fiscal year. Dues are in arrears on March 31st of each year. If a person becomes a member of the Society after the first day of August, the person is not required to pay dues until the first day of January of the second year of membership.
