I was looking through Pimbley’s and I found a "chapournet" in the illustrations section. Looked for further information and it’s a misspelling of a French word which means hood, but this spelling has come to be used by English heraldry to represent a chief divided by a curved line I believe.
I am unclear as to how this would be blazoned though. Anyone have any insights?

Um….. " a chief per chapournet Azure and Gules"?
This just recently posted on the International Heraldry Facebook Group by Alexander Liptak:

So there seems precedent for various methods of blazoning… one somewhat similar to your suggestion Arian.
