1st Cavarly Division, symbolising the cutting edge of the Division’s Tanks.

2nd Cavalry Division. The Horse’s Head symbolising teh Cavalry origins and the division of the Shield the number two.

The Special Forces Brigade. The Knife symbolises the Special Forces, the colour Night and Day operations. The Flash formed Pile the capability to quickly insert itself by Air, Land and Sea into an operational theater.

Lifeguard on Horse. The Eagle from the national Arms charged with spurwheels symbolising the Cavalry/Armour role.

1st HM the King’s Cuirassier Regiment. The Crown symbolises the King who is Colonel-in-Chief of the Regiment. The Spurwheels symbolising Cavalry/Armour.

Not only military Arms, here are some civilian ones. From my fictive African Country Rhodia:

New England University. England symbolism combinded with educational symbolism.

Royal Williamsburg Hospital. Elements form the City Arms are combinded with the Rod of Aesulapius. The Hermine Brodure and Crown on the Hurt hanging from the Eagles neck symbolises the Royal part.

Interesting, the split compartment, like the shield is carefully balanced on the shoreline.

 

As to the book, is the letter on the dexter page intended to be alpha? It looks to me more like lambda.

Marcus—while I’m not really into fictional countries—the UN being the perfect QED for the proposition that there are too many "real" ones already!—your artwork is really nice.  Would you mind my plagiarizing your stylized eagle’s head for a friend surnamed Monroe?  (Munro is a Scottish clan name—the chief’s arms being a red eagle’s head on gold)

Some new fictive Academical Heraldry.

National University of Rhodia. The Black Crosses are taken from the National Coat of Arms of Rhodia, the Book symbolises (suprise, suprise) Learing. Supporters are also from the national Coat of Arms but placed on the opposite sides and the Lion strewn with Crosses.
