Does anyone know much about this? Obviously it’s not as accurate as it should be (they allow supporters in their designs) but the art is rather nice. Does anyone have an opinion on this particular company?

I have seen this website before. There is a page of sample "family crests" of my surname ( http://www.fleurdelis.com/hardins.htm ) that they put together. I have yet to develope an opinion as to their services—but looking over the order form I don’t expect very much from them.

If you are looking for some professional design or art work, I can recommend with confidence Laurent Granier ( http://www.laurentgranier.com ). Others around here can also point you to other reputable heraldists.

interesting, I’ve been looking into other artists (I had trouble reading her website, not a French speaker, but she does look like she makes a good achievement. Does anyone know anything about Neil Bromley?

Mr. Laurent Granier has been slowly working more English language material in his website. If there is something you don’t understand, send him an email—Laurent speaks and writes English.

I have never used Mr. Bromley but have seen some of his work. You can try asking George ( http://www.heraldrysociety.us/MemberArmPages/membersarms.php?page=Merwede ) for a reference, his arms are painted by Mr. Bromley.

In any case, your best bet is to ask the artist directly. Send a copy of your blazon and any images you currently have of your arms and ask for an estimate.

My mistake, I don’t know why I assumed he was a she. Thanks for the advice though, I have sent out emails to several heraldists and am waiting on a response.

Hello

There’s a website specialized in heraldry and genealogy with a lot of links to resources including heraldic artists.

www.cronistas.net
