Yeah Joeseph’s syntax is a lot better than mine, but i thought i’d at least give it a go, so I can practice.
I noted in the blazon you have "tusked Argent." Shouldn’t it be "armed Argent"? Or does it not matter?

do elephant’s have arms?

Well, of course they do. But only the King of the Elephants has supporters or a coronet.
Umm i don’t know about the tusked or armed argent. And i don’t think there’s precedent for giving animals arms, so I think you can do what you want, just let me know who is the decided King of the elephants.
Anyways I have made some small changes to my arms and Crest, and think I finally have what I want after a good initial design that has seen a lot of tweaking since. I decided to move the atom out of the arms themselves and into the crest since physics is definantly an individual thing not a family thing. (If i wanted to do a family thing I would have included something for engineering, since both my dad and grandad were engineers, and even with a physics degree, will more than likely become an engineer). And also there won’t be the contrast that "jarred" Joeseph.
So here’s the whole coat of arms:

And the arms by themselves now:
An artistic observation (i.e. just appearances, not "rules")—
the black outlining of the various features on the dark blue elephant doesn’t show up well. You might consider changing the black lines to white on the elephant’s body (i.e. outline of ears especially) & see if that shows up better. Ditto the other critter, but its less of a problem for some reason.

Babar is the King of the Elephants! I don’t know if he ever had a Coat of Arms, however.
Nice Colin.

If he does, I can’t find it. But I did find his family tree:

And here are his royal banner:

and pennant:

Yeah, I couldn’t find a mention of his arms, either…but if he has a pennant and banner one would think he also has arms somewhere.

Elephants aside, I think this turned out very nicely. I think moving the atom off the shield and onto the crest was a good idea and it worked out beautifully. I think this is our first poster to use tenne extensivly in their arms it looks good.

I agree Everett. I like the use of Tenne as well. It does look really nice.
A (maybe) final comment. With the crest as shown, the helmet needs to be affronty in order to work artistically. If the helmet is to be shown in profile, the crest needs to be emblazoned with the wings shown to match the direction of the helm.
To illustrate, it’s the difference between this (Abele, from the Greve Wappenindex):
http://www.familie-greve.de/modules/wappenindex/gross/a/ab/abele.gif
and this (Albrecht), linked from the same site:

In other words, the helmet and crest should be portrayed in a way that a knight could actually have worn the crest—and no knight would ride into a tournament with one wing forward, one backward, and the bit in the middle visible only from his left hand side.
Does that make sense?
