I was wondering if anyone had an idea as to the identity of the charges in chief in the de Kat arms.

They’ve some arms from other countries as well, including some examples with which I’m familiar.

I’m particularly interested in the arms of Hoogenraad (http://www.heraldiek-ngv.nl/Wapenkaarten/wp-ngv-wapenkaart-nr-27.htm) as that was my brother-in-law’s original name.  I’m wondering if this is the same family.

The arms for Van Heyst look the same as Teddy Roosevelt’s arms…at least to my eyes.

Looks like a pair of ikweethetniets to me, but I’ll get back to you on that.  (It’s on page 08 for those who are looking.)

If the blazon on this site is correct, they might look the same but they are not as the mount and bush are vert (see hatching; proper has a different if very seldom seen hatching) in Van Heyst but proper in Roosevelt.  (The roses are gules in both.)
