The Book of standards: ‘‘The System of the Heraldic Insignia of the Princely Branch of the Serbian Royal House of Karageorgevich’’ is now accessible on-line: http://www.czipm.org/sistem.html

Extremely interesting!

I have always been fascinated with the monarchies of Serbia and Montenegro. I also find heraldic specification sheets very interesting, as well as important. If you go to the Wikipedia site, you will be able to find a specification sheet of the royal Romanian coat of arms.

I can post it if you are interested.

Is there any English translation of those pages?  I think I was looking at Russian, but I can’t be too sure;)

No, it’s in Serbian, but pictures speak louder than words I believe…

Only the blazon is given both in Serbian and English.

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/30/Stema_Regala.jpg

Quote:

It includes the royal motto, in Latin: Nihil Sine Deo (Nothing Without God)

Translation:

The Coat of Arms of Whole Romania

The coat of arms is used in three forms:

The great coat of arms: in the acts of the states which were propagated from His Highness, the King and in official international acts, as well as in special cases, from the high order of his His Highness, the King.

The medium coat of arms, without pavilion: by the Army and the authorities of the State

The smaller coat of arms, formed by the three shields and the steel crown: on official seals and stamps.

of interest as well, I presume:

Which is hardly suprising since Romania isn’t a Monarchy anymore. The Supporters, robel, royal Crowns and the Shield of Hohenzollern have been removed to create a Republican Arms.

The purple Phoenix in the red field is not a pleasing effect. I would suggest to change it into silver or gold.

Isn’t that also a violation of tincture?  Purple on Gules?
