I see that someone could not resist filling empty space with another pointless wreath. Why not simply replace all the charges with small crosses surrounded by wreaths and give up on the theory of design ingenuity?

Go with the second example, make the chief wavy, increase the size of the heart and remove the wreath.

To answer the question, the first is Argent on a chief wavy Azure a heart within a chaplet of ??? leaves between two open books Argent, in base two bars wavy Azure.  The second is Argent two bars wavy, on a chief Azure a heart within a chaplet of ??? leaves between two open books Argent.

I agree with David on dispensing with the pointless and superfluous wreath (chaplet) and agree that the second design is way better (although I’m agnostic on whether the chief should be wavy or not).  The first design cries out for something in the center that would only complicate things more than they need to be.

Thanks guys for the help.

The heart within the wreath comes from the arms and flag of a city that was established ages ago.

I agree with you about the first one, Joe.  That negative space in the center does beg to be filled.

I’ll see if I can work up a version with a wavy chief for the second one.

Again, thanks for the help.
