JB,

Would you put up a version with Argent fimbriation and stars, keeping the garbs Or?

Something like this, except the wavy division would be a dovetail division:

The Or fimbriation seems to detract from the Or of the garbs, which take on more significance because there are so few of them relative to the stars.

The only thing that I can see (and don’t take my word for it as my blazoning is still in it’s infancy) is if you want the estoiles to be layed out exacly as you have them emblazoned here I would specify it.  As in, "...13 estoiles argent (4-3-4-2)".  But that may not be necessary, others will have more experience in this area.

I intentionally left the placement of the estoiles loose, as I’m not tied to that arrangement, it just fit best on the shield.

Jonathan,

The only suggestion that I’d have on the blazon is that you forgot to say the chief was dovetailed. :D

Thanks,

Now for something completely different. I was thinking, and what about something like these?

I wanted to try something completely different to open up your options. Didn’t know if you had your heart set on a bear in the crest though?

These would be great arms for a Budeswehr joint regiment of Military Police and Bakery/Food Preparation Staff based in Berlin.

He means it could work as the arms of a Food preperation unit of the German ARmy because the arms look very German and ‘cuz of the Baker peel.

David’s humour is a bit hard sometimes, you should see some of our conversations in chat…:D

Cheers,

Bear = symbol of Berlin

Black and White = colours of Prussian Royal House

Green = colour of German Police

Peel = symbol for bakers

I should have not used the word military in the comment as the MP colour was orange.

Thank you, now that i get the reference, that is funny…

What about the Berlin Baking police? I envision a government sanctioned "mob" style police force cracking down on the use of improper baking techniques…

Okay, so David Pritchard mentioned that my crest might not be a unique design, so in an effort to make it a little more distinctive, and to make the dove reference a little less subtle I rigged up this version.  It’s minor enough change that I don’t think the family would have a problem with it.  So, what’s the consensus?

I like Mike’s third one best, but I’m only comparing it to his other two versions, not the any of JB’s versions.

I think the design that you and your family agreed upon is the best representation so far.  The others are nice, but I think you’ve really captured what you wanted to represent in the arms that you posted.  That would be the keeper for me!

The wins should be closed or else it will look like the Eagle of Saint John the Evangelist rather than the Dove of the Holy Spirit. I do think that the addition of the dove would be a positive addition to the arms.
