Clean & simple. That’s what I like in a badge. I took elements of my shield & used them when creating my badge. I think you’re on the right track.

Colin,
You have posted some very interesting badge designs. I do like the Maserati trident as a charge now that I have seen it in use. I have one more idea for a badge blazon, On a roundel parted per pale Tenney and Azure, a trident Argent. This blazon would include all three colours used in your arms and eliminate the border which could cause confusion.
Here’s another one I am playing with:

The per Pale one David suggested, along with a cheque one:

I think that David’s per pale suggestion is my favorite of the lot. It contains all three colors, and it maintains a high contrast between the colors/metal, making it easy on the eyes and readily distinguishable.
I would agree with Jonathan, and there is little doubt it would be unique. I like this one the best, so far. Always great fun to watch as a shield, crest, or badge is designed.
I agree with Pastor and Jonathan, the per pale version is by far the best presented.

My two cents says that this is the best one… although from an artistic standpoint I would suggest adding a small dark outline so that the white fields don’t get lost on the page pacground… maybe s drop shadow or something would work. I like the direction you’re moving a lot.
Hmm see I don’t like the per pale one nearly as much as the one Everett suggested, so I took his advice and outlined it in a black border to highlight it a little, and we’ll see how it grows on me.
So far I really like it
