I noticed from the seal of this organization that it has a coat of arms. Does anyone happen to know how it is blazoned?
Do you happen to have a picture?
Can’t find a color version. The main field appears to be a Continental soldier within a ring of 13 stars; the chief is obviously a ship. (Oh, I give up, it’s one of those Tripod-hosted images that won’t hotlink.)
I’ve had no luck finding a color image either. Here is a link that provides a little more detail of the seal, but it is still bw.

Well, this at least suggests that the field is Or (dots). Odds are that the chief is in proper colors (light blue sky, dark blue sea, brown ship with white sails). If the guy in the field is a Continental soldier, that would make the uniform dark blue, and the stars appear to be white.
Correction: see page 19 of the book:
Quote:
Upon a shield or, a Continental soldier, at attention, habited proper, surrounded by a constellation of thirteen stars azure ; upon the centre of the chief, a ship of the Seventeenth Century, under full sail, proper.
Lesson: when dealing with American organizations, always expect them to describe their arms as seals.
Nice catch, Joe. They seem to have left out a few elements such as the line of partition and the bordure. Or is the line of partition meant to be the sea?
I don’t see a bordure, and I think the chief is the seascape including the ship.
Or a Continental soldier at attention proper within an annulet of thirteen stars Azure, on a chief a seascape with a ship under full sail all proper.
Not a hot candidate for our next design award, but we’ve seen worse…
