Here’s a bit of fun. This is my four year old daughter Christine as the crest of the Canadian coat of arms (the crest on its own is most commonly used as the insignia for our Governor General).

(And the real version for comparison)
I’m afraid the local Halloween store didn’t have any St. Edward’s crowns, so I had to make do.
That is the best!!......so cute too.
Very nice! Plus, you could use this as blackmail material when she’s in her teens
Truth be told, she and her little brother are usually rampant or combatant.
I know that all too well, mine are 3-1/2 (Charlotte) and 1-1/2 (Scotland).
How delightful!
Most girls want to be a princess at that age, how did you manage to c0onvinve her a crest was the way to go? Maybe a ion princess?

She actually dressed as Sleeping Beauty for Halloween and her 2 1/2 year old brother Dashiell was the lion, but he couldn’t manage holding the pose for the camera, so a quick switcheroo, and voila.
Wonderful!!!!!

Ah, her patience will haunt her teen years now. :-D
Congratulation to Christine as well as to her happy parents!
Any thought to sending a copy of this great picture to the Canadian heraldic authorities? If they aren’t too full of themselves, perhaps they’d find it charming.
Great pose, great shot…
Quite nice

Or the Governor Generals Office. She would probably love it!

I did in fact send this to several of the heralds who assisted me with my recent grant. I got a response from one of them with a kind compliment and the statement that he’s "never seen a live version of the Royal crest".
I haven’t tried the GG herself, though.
