Does anyone know if Michael Swanson’s US Heraldic Registry is still active?

The web site is up, but nothing new in terms of registrations seems to have been posted recently. The last electronic newsletter on the site is dated Feb 2008. I have e-mailed the contact address a couple of times, but received no reply.

I think it’s been reported in other threads here that Mike Swanson has been taking a hiatus to deal with some real world priorities.

Ah alright…just the question I was wondering about myself in my other topic.  Is he pretty much the only person running the show over there?  Any idea when things will be rolling again?

Just a brief note:  my son submitted his arms late last week and they were entered in the USHR early this week.

That’s great - I’m over the year mark. - I’m "afraid" to resubmit because I’ll appear inconsiderate now that it’s up and running again.

I sent mine in about 6 months ago. Then I noticed new registrations so I sent a note just asking if I needed to re-submit, then within hours mine were registered.  So Kathy, I would ask at least…..but thats just me.

Thanks.  I’m very happy they’ve started up again.

Since the USHR has resumed operations, can we remove the disclaimer from our web site that states: "NOTE: We understand that the USHR has temporarily suspended processing applications. We have no information as to when or if operations will resume." ?

This would appear to be the case as I applied for registration back in May of 2009. I received notice of same on the 26th March 2010. It is good to see that Michael is still in operation.

A shame.  Hopefully someone has saved at least the names & blazons for some possible future reference of American arms.
