Members will have seen in the members section the thread about the Society’s resolution of congratulations to the Army Institute of Heraldry on its 50th anniversary, which Kenneth Mansfield and I presented at the TIOH anniversary symposium on September 15.
I just received from TIOH Director Chuck Mugno a high resolution professional photograph of the document, which was painted by Alexander Liptak. Apologies for what this is going to do to the forum screen width, but this is only half the size of the original image:

Enjoy!
(If Kimon or someone wants to put this on the main page of the society website, I can send the original image by e-mail.)
With your indulgence, I’ll repeat the congratulations I offered in the members’ section. This effort has had at least three outcomes of which the Board (and Society should be proud): real-world outreach, the creation of a beautiful heraldic artifact, and the professional support of a great heraldic artist.
First, congratulations to the staff at TIOH!
Second, what a stunning heraldic document! Simply breathtaking.
First of all, congratulations to TIOH, it’s well deserved. Awesome to see AHS reaching out like this, and presenting such a beautifully done document. The artwork is fantastic to say the least.
the document looks great
An excellent idea and a beautiful document. Thanks for posting it.
Splendid !
Thank you! I love it.
Yes, very very nice indeed.
I’m interested in the flora surrounding the AHS arms. Were they just randomly chosen, or was there something particular in mind? It seems some are native to North America - perhaps all representing major agricultural of the U.S.?

You’ll have to ask Alexander Liptak; we left the artistry up to him.
Regardless of the reasoning behind the plants surrounding the AHS shield, it looks appropriate somehow…and with the festive Thanksgiving/Christmas season approaching, it also seems to work well with it.
A worthy celebration of the TIOH.
I wonder if the AHS would ever consider making such certificates available for private commission? I for one, would be honoured to display such a wonderful and beautiful document alongside my grant from the College of Arms. Truly stunning!
You can always contact Alexander Liptak about a commission. I wouldn’t see much point of AHS having anything to do with it when you can go straight to the artist.
Thanks, good advice… but then I would miss all the AHS finery and borders! Maybe I could get him to paint the arms of the heraldry societies to which I belong?
Potentially. I would be worth finding out to say the least. He does incredible work in my opinion.
