Jeez. You guys are killing me. wink

Attached is the template I used to create the AHS Board of Governors as seen below. It’s best to print the shield on stickers or sticker paper and the surcoat on thin but sturdy paper. You have to detach the legs and fold the paper in between them and the torso. Since I was doing a photo-op, I only printed the fronts of the surcoats so there wouldn’t be so much stuff to cram in there. Ideally, I think you’d want to use decals for the torso and then create a skirt that just went over the legs to create the bottom of the surcoat.

Enjoy!

The lego company is going to wonder at the huge increase in sale of their little knights.  <grin>

So, who else is planning a lego AHS parade?

I’m just trying to figure out when I can get to a lego store.  Do they actually sell the knights separately?

Not usually. But you can buy this kit: http://kingdoms.lego.com/en-us/Products/Default.aspx#7950 - which includes a knight with the new "great helm" model and one shield. My wife surprised me with this set as an Easter gift :o

This is kind of pathetic, but I am seriously considering making a lego run :p

I might have to stop by a store sometime today and see if I can pick one up.  If I can get 5 knights then I’ll use them as my refrigerator test.

I am fortunate enough to have an entire trunk of LEGOs at my disposal! Of course that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t like to get the newest LEGO Kingdoms sets and give them all a makeover. :D

Well lets be realistic here.  First of all…legos are awesome, I don’t care what age you are.  Second of all, knights are awesome.  Every little boy at some point wanted to be a knight, and I think most grown men want to be as well, even if they don’t want to admit it.  Combine legos and knights, and it’ll bring out the kid in any of us.  Added to the fact our passion for heraldry, and the possibility of lego knights with our own coat of arms…we’re like kids in a candy store :D

Conceivably, someone can start this as a business, i.e. custom heraldic Lego pieces….

May I recommend bricklink.com for spare minifigs?  This is sort of a central site for sellers of used Lego parts.  You can find practically any part ever made there.

I have a large bin of Lego dating back as far as the 70’s. I’d say that bin, and it’s contents, are precious to me. smile

Currently I’m focusing on Technic sets, specifically the large cars. I’ve got 8865, 8448 and 8070. I’m looking for 8880 and 8860.
