Slogans (battle cries) in heraldry

Exactly - but our friends here may be unaware of the Polish slogans being never emblazoned; they are remembered, mentioned, and coats are often called by the correspondent slogans, but that’s all. If a Polish coat of arms appears to be transferred ito the - say- UK context, it could be great to use the old slogan as an armorial slogan. Many years ago I suggested that for Sir Conrad Swan but Dr Adam Heimowski (with whom I shared the idea first and who wished to check the zawolanie of this particular lineage) passed away, and the great plan came to nothing.

Thank you Michael for sharing this idea and I’ll certainly share it with my friends from the Confederation of the Polish Nobility who are trying to clarify and improve our heraldic system.As you said ,slogans although known were rarely if ever recorded in a graphic form and never emblazoned.
