I can’t remember if I posted this - as the final act of the McClurg Family Heraldic Christmas…  Almost 3 years in the making, I registered all of the arms in the Armorial Register.  I represented multiple artists.

http://www.armorial-register.com/surnames-arms-m.html

All are enroute to Wisconsin with digital artwork on a thumb drive for each, some explanation of how the arms were designed and a gift card to allow each to frame their Daniel Gill art to their liking (within reason).  Now it’s just a matter of waiting until Christmas!

Wow, that’s eight registrations? 100 pounds for each? The ultimate family christmas present! :D

Awesome work and great gift ideas! I hope they all appreciate all of the time, thought, and effort you put into the project for all of them.

I will be happy if I can spark the interest in a few of the next generation.  They now have just enough information to be dangerous!

I’m considering seals or signet rings for next year, but with the next generation being so "electronic" - I’m unsure… But I’m sure I’ll come up with something…  Just thinking now because these things take some time.

That is very cool!  Not only does everyone get their own design but they’re already registered as well!  I can’t wait to hear about everyones reactions to they’re gifts.

Very nice heraldic lineage.  I’m intrigued by Caitlin’s two-pointed label.  Is that a unique innovation, or does it have precedence?

Unique.  Not mine.  Had to do with some advice I was getting at the time - re: women not really being proper heraldic heirs.  But, it grew on me - so even after I knew better I left it.  wink

With minor word-smithing, the secret to many a long marriage.  (Or, in more on-topic terms, the secret to not having to change your marital impalement)
