I have long wondered what an emblazon would look like if it was to be drawn by one of the masters cartoonists of Disney, e.g. Carl Barks or Don Rosa. I’m guessing that it would still be easily recognizable, and yet have a humorous quality. I know that at least Don Rosa has draw the arms of the McDuck’s, and it wasn’t all that bad…
The post above by Claus made me want to know more about this and lo and behold, I found it!

The full text on the rationale behind the design and an interesting story on the this historic Scottish clan :D can be found here: http://duckman.pettho.com/mcduck/heraldry.html
Clan McDuck has a full website that discusses their history, tartan etc here: http://duckman.pettho.com/mcduck/index.html

Kimon,
The arms you showed don’t match the arms in the first link (which are funnier). Any idea why?
Also, it seems fitting that this branch of foul has their own arms. After all the Clan McDuck has had a hand in shaping the modern world.

I don’t understand. The image above is the very top image shown in the first link provided.
The text on the heraldry cites all its sources (stories/comics) for the images.
In any case, I agree with you on the rest

Nevermind, my internet must have glitched. Last time only 2 images showed up on the whole page. A router reboot later and the world is right again.
This is fantastic! I used to run home from school to watch Duck Tales when I was a kid. This is a nice little treat.
