Brigade level combat patches are pretty standard as well. I was with the 36th Combat Air Brigade (http://www.texasmilitaryforcesmuseum.org/christpatchresize.PNG and this was the patch awarded to all of the soldiers/troopers contained within. I know that the Rangers and Special Forces use Battalion patches as their combat patches, but this more so because they are a small entity compared to general forces and they are structured differently.
It also depends on the orders that were issues with the combat patch. The orders specify what patch/es were awarded to that unit. So, a division may authorize both the division patch and the brigade patch to the respective brigades…thus allowing the soldier to wear one or the other.

Both division and brigade patches in some instances? I was totally unaware of that; thanks for adding that info!
A fine array of military insignia. It would be nice to see these incorporated around your arms.

Something like this?

Very nice to see.
Wheeler, did you produce that yourself?
Yes. That was just a copy & paste throw-together in MS Publisher I did as a concept for a military retirement shadow-box type display. Creating an actual shadow-box like this would be rather expensive.
