Thank you!

It´s not easy to answer.

I did the emblazonment with a lot of help from Mr. Dikic and another austrian heraldik artist.

Explenation:

Saint Pantaleon is our family patron since many centuries, the other

symbol lily and chross are a symbol of my religion, serbian orthodox church, bosnian origin.

The "two half-eagels" (it´s not double-headed eagle) symbolieses west und east Europe; my origin from east

Europe on one side and west, where I was born and live, ond the other side.

Welcome Dragan! You arms are most interesting, and a treat to see the work of Mr. Dikić. Would you like members to try and work out English language blazon for your arms?

Hi Dragan.

Did you invent the charge "two half eagles" or does this exist elsewhere as well?

Thank you for everything.

I am going to try to translate my blazon in english, but at first a explanation.

The "two half eagle" are a compromise because in the serbian heraldic it is for new armigers forbbiden to have

"double headed eagle". Why, I don´t no?

A example for "two half eagle" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brzeziny_County!

It is important that´s the left side different of the right.

I´m sorry my english is very very bad smile

This will sound pedantic but that is not the intention.

The eagle does have different halfs but it still is a double headed eagle argent, the halfs are just drawn different.

The only way to get what you want is to change something on one of the halfs perhaps change the beak or the leg to a different colour.

Hmmm, but everything is different, the legs, the beak and the wings. Isn´t it enough?

I have never seen a double headed eagle with different halfs.

I guess you haven’t seen a double headed eagle with equal halfs as well (in the real world)!... I know I haven’t!!!... although I use it in my CoA…

Dragan have you ever visit Greece? Your Saint Panteleon comes from a fresco of some church in Korinos-Pieria.

IIRC the notion that a double-headed eagle was/is really two eagles back to back rather than an eagle with two heads, was either the reason for—or an explanation of—the bicephalous bird to symbolize the two Roman empires, Eastern & Western.

While I agree with emrys that it would be more clearly two birds if they were different colors, I don’t recall ever seeing them actually done that way.  It would be an interesting approach, but a definite innovation, and IMO would no longer serve as a clear allusion to Serbia or any of the other Eastern European states.

Mr. Dikic suggested to use white colour on one half and black on the other half. Because I´m born in Austria it would be ok to use the black colour, since the austrian eagle is black.

But I can´t identifay myself with that suggesten.

Maybe you have noticed that one half is made in German/Austrian style and the other in Serbian/East European style!
