Created a personal coat (I know that it’s a bit stylized) but still need a little help with blazon (My first try)
Per pale argent and azure, on a chevron countercharged
between two choughs rising, Wings addorsed and elevated
and a tower counterchanged; an annulet azure dexter
an annulet argent sinister, and an annulet counterchanged
within a bourdure counterchanged
On a Helm with a Wreath Argent and azure a bat displayed
Per pale Argent and Azure on a Chevron between in chief two Choughs rising wings addorsed and elevated and in base a Tower three annulets all within a bordure counterchanged.
You did not specify what color the choughs are to be, so one must assume that they are counterchanged as well. And what color is the bat in your crest?
Wow Thanks for the quick response the Bat is sable or proper
And yes crows are counterchanged
FWIW I think the bordure is too much. Otherwise a nice coat of arms, at least what I imagine in my head.
Thank you
If you see it with bordure you might like it
Also I’m looking at yours….. VERY Nice!!!
I agree with Kenneth in that I think the border might be a little too much. If you add the border it will squish the crows and tower to make them a little smaller. Getting rid of the border will help open the field up and allow for the charges to be bigger and easier to distinguish.
Overall, I think you’ve got a good design. I would love to see a finished product.
And, as many on here know, I’m one that loves hearing about the thoughts behind the design. What’s the meaning behind your design and the charges you chose?
Very nice indeed. Is this really your first shot at arms? If so, then they are miraculously clean and simple!
I’ll admit that I had to google to find that a chough is a member of the crow family.
The City of Cornwall, Ontario uses the red-billed chough (P.pyrrhocorax) in their arms; and there is also a yellow-billed chough (P.graculus).

Thanks for input
I’m still having preliminary drawings done
Thanks a lot I see We all like the use of a chevron
Question How do you post an image?
Thanks my first shot was a mess!!
metal on metal color on color
looked @ a couple of heraldy sites and redesigned with same elements

Chevrons are pretty great. And judging from everyone else in the thread, I think you should change the Azure to Vert. Green and White do look good together.
To post an image, I find the easiest way to do it is to host the image on something like Imageshack.com. From there you can copy the code to post in forums. Just post the code in the thread and we’ll be able to see the photo. I’m sure there are other ways but I find that’s the one that works best for me.
Hahahaha thanks I’ll try that
A cautionary note (not aimed at your design in particular, just generally re: the design process)—before you settle on "the" design for you & yours, move slowly; then pause, then ponder, then move slowly ... you’re creating a design to signify"you" and ideally your descendants for generations to come, so give it the time and thought—and patience!—that it deserves.
At some point, when you have two or three front runners, someone will recommend the "refrigerator test"—stick ‘em on the fridge or other handy place you see every day, and leave them for several weeks. At some point, one of them—or maybe part(s) of one or more—will begin to feel intrinsically "right" for you. If so, proceed; if not, start over!
Apologies for the clip art charges (and substituting eagles for choughs), but they are all I had available and you still get the idea. From a design perspective (no violation of rules here) the bordure doesn’t crowd the charges too much, but it is simply not necessary.
