Don’t worry, Mom! All three are in high school or college, are student athletes, and have the muscles to spare!
Doesn’t mean they have no toes to crush! Still… a mom thing! :aiee:
That’s really an excellent display of arms. I’d be torn between wanting to show it off and afraid some delinquents would make off with it
Very fine indeed.

I’m optimistic! Most delinquents aren’t interested in the logistics behind stealing a 100 pound rock. I think the size serves as enough security.
Now that is cool.
Very nice. Can you tell us if the technique used is sand blasting, using a masking technique?
Sorry, david, didn’t see your post until just now. I have no idea how this was actually done. The vendor I received this from has the local franchise, the process is proprietary, and he had to sign a confidentiality agreement. Consequently, he did not answer my questions in this regard.
As for the company who provides the franchises (and created this particular process), I believe they can be found at:
I cannot find a list of local franchises for those of you in other parts of the country. Perhaps if you contact the website above, they can tell you who your local representative is. (I really don’t know how wide-spread this particular company has become.) However, the local vendor who created mine said it was the first stone he had done in seven years with a coat-of-arms included. (It’s good to be unique!)
If I were a betting man, I’d bet money on it (being sandblasted with a masking agent).
Just out of curiosity: Did anyone try contacting the website I listed above? If so, what did you find out? Anyone else take the plunge on one of these? (Although it’s nice to be unique, misery does love company!)
BTW: For your information "Mom," I ran to answer the phone in my bedroom on July 23rd. Running past my wife’s dresser, two toes cleared, three toes didn’t. Good news: I can still run. Bad news: Broke the fourth toe of my left foot (figures, the foot I need to shift gears on the motorcycle). And you were worried about my kids toes…
LOL—running in the house? Without slippers/shoes….
At least it wasn’t the kids….
Sometimes I run through the house with scissors ‘cause that’s the way I am!
Hmm, we down here in the sultry swamps of So. Florida also go barefoot in the house. Ceramic tile underfoot is nice and cool and bamboo flooring in some other spaces feels good too. We do let visitors stay shod, though.
