I am currently working on a long term project in San Antonio.  As always, I am interested in the symbols and heraldry (if any exists) in the areas I visit and live in.  Here are some that I found and was astonished to see the Moorish influence on Spanish heradlry that ultimately impacted heraldry in San Antonio, TX.  The first one is of a diplay in San Jose Mission with a leather shield. Sorry about the bad picture, but I am interested in the shape and type of shield, which is very Moorish.

In addition, I have a couple of pictures that I took at the governor’s palace in down-town San Antonio.  Enjoy.
