On your original thread, just now I sugggested placing the IHS on some solid surface that the hand could hold up—something other nthan three letters floating in space.
I agree with those who find adding the Mexican flag makes it a bit too busy. If you wanted, you could have the arm in a red-white-green striped sleeve, but (a) it could mean Italian, or Hungarian, & maybe others, as easily as Mexican; & (b) the extra colors would IMO detract from the simplicity of the crest, both standing alone & in conjunction with the shield.
But of course those are just my thoughts, & the arms will be yours and your family’s.
(Has anyone explained the "refrigerator test" in this thread? I’m catching up after a week or so off-line & skimming through the threads rather quickly…)

I like both of these.. good idea
