I’m going to be in Malta for a few days later in the year and I was wondering if anyone here knew of "must see" places for someone interested in heraldry.
I already know that St John’s Co-Cathedral in Valletta is a must, but I’m sure that there are many other places.
I’ll be on the island for 4 or 5 days, based in central Valletta.
I’ve posted this query on a number of heraldic fora so my apologies in advance for those who are seeing this for the third or fourth time.

You have to go see Fort Saint Elmo, in Valetta. It is one of the Kinghts of Malta fortifications… It is right in the middle of Valetta harbor so you can’t miss it…
If you haven’t done so yet, check Francois Velde’s "heraldica" website—IIRC he has a number of photos from Malta. You might also contact him directly.
Thanks to you both for the suggestions. Francois site is, as usual, excellent. I can see I’ll have a lot to do.

James,
For the enjoyment of our members, could you please explain the significance and name of the fantastic beast in your avatar? It is wonderful, and I know I’ve always wondered about it.
