Green and white is the colour of the Armoured Force. The plates denotes the number of the regiment. The Castle is from the CoA of the Belgian town of Mons attacked two times by the regiment in 1944. The capture of Mons from the Germans are denoted by the broken meat hook, a device found in German heraldry. My remark the TIOH are not excatly right here scince this charge in German heraldry are called a Wolfsangel (Wolf’s hook). This was a rather grim devise used for hunting Wolfs, a piece of meat was placed on the Hook and the Wolf was cought on the Hook while trying to eat the meat.

There are a small number of arms who uses dinosaurs, perhaps the most notable is the Pterodactyl in the crest of the former Royal Aircraft Establishment (Farnbourugh, UK). The crest of the RAE is blasoned as out of an astral crown Or, a pterodactyl displayed proper.

The problem with this is there’s no one who’s going to read the blazon and to produce the definite (from the heraldic viewpoint) non-panther seen in the emblazonment.  Even if there aren’t flames coming from at least somewhere out of the head it doesn’t look anything like any kind of panther.

Well you are right, but I think they are refering to the non heraldic animal.

I’m sure they are; my point is that the problem’s practically any artist is going to think of the heraldic animal and if he is producing an emblazonment from the blazon, is going to show the heraldic animal in the blazon.  The only reason they might not is that he’s not enflamed, but you can hardly count on this; they’ll probably produce the heraldic animal anyway.
