I printed it out on parchment, and framed it and hung it outside her room at the Rehabilitation center shes at. The nurse staff cals her "your majesty". She will be coming home after 4 months at that place due to a stroke.

As for your blazon….I think it would be:
Or a Colorodo Columbine Purpure slipped Vert and seeded Argent within a bordure quarterly Purpure and Or.
Alternatively, the columbine could be blazoned as Proper.

Just a couple questions – not meant to offend – but why use a border of the same metal on the field? Also, why use this sort of mantling with no helm?
There are many cases of lozenges for women being used with a crest but with no mantling and they are still very nice.

There seems to me to be a problem with your blazon, Philip.
I see a mullet purpure charged with a five petalled flower argent with leaves vert in the gaps between the rays of the mullet.
Forgive me if I am wrong, but, the purple rays seem far too regular to occur in nature.
Like Denny, I think a plain purple border would look better than one quarterly of purple and the field of the arms.

I should have googled ‘colorado columbine’ before posting my last message.
However, I still feel that the ‘purple rays’ are a little too regular and would suggest that you make them a little fatter towards the base if you do not want others to misinterpret the flower, as I did.
The photographs of the ‘colorado columbine’ I found showed that the ‘rays’ are more blue than purple. Is purple a variant or did you choose purple for symbolic reasons?

That photograph did not show up in my search. The first was a blue-purple while the second was definitely blue.
The outer petals are certainly purple.
A lovely flower and a distinctive charge.
I quite like the mantle-style mantling surrounding the lozenge in Steve’s original painting.

I have seen columbines that have really vibrant purple and more bluish purple pedals. So, I’m not surprised at both being shown in pics. I love going into the hills and viewing them all over the place. At my uncle’s place, where I’ll be vacationing in a week, is chalk full of these! It is a very beautiful flower and one this Coloradoan is quite fond of.
I like Alexander’s emblazon. But, I still think the border would look better without the gold.
