I tried to post an image of the painting my good friend Roland Symons did for me shortly after I assumed them a little while ago, but the quality of the picture was less than flatering. With a new scanner and the help of John Duncan of Sketraw, I’m resubmitting them to share with the group. There’s still nothing like seeing it in person, since it’s gauche paint and the gold really looks like gold, but this will do! Many thanks to John for his assistance, I deeply appreciate it.
I’ll also be using this image in my registration with the Westphalian society of Germany as well. This is the image that they will include in their Letters Patent. When I finish with that process and the documents come in, I’ll post them as well.

A fine rendering of your arms. In my own opinion the treatment of the shield is the best that you have shared thus far. Although I am not a great fan of crests that stand or more correctly ‘ramp’ (can the heraldic adjective rampant be conjugated?) in defiance of the theory of gravity, I must write that the rendering of your talbot is equally fine.

Thanks for letting us see this. I have a special enthusiasm for gouache, my primary medium.
I’m glad you liked it! I didn’t really have any idea what the difference between regular acrylics and gauche were until this arrived in the mail. This medium seems to just be alive. Depending on where you stand in front of it and what type of light is hitting it, it just seems to move with you.
