You will see a new feature in the Quick Links menu. The Google map shows users’ locations. Anyone wanting to appear in the map must enter their coordinates by zooming into their town and clicking on the coordinates. You can also add your achievement, name, and a line of text.
Hi, Michael, just one of your two "guinee pigs"! When I pass my cursor over a "pin," the info is not coming up like it did last night. I have tried clicking and double clicking. Pin just stares at me, taunting me. Has something changed with this function that I am unaware of?

Works for me. Reload the map and try again.
Doesn’t work for me I am afraid either, but does allow me to zoom in OK.
I am glad however that it is a bit misty over NE Scotland, stops Rev. William seeing what I am doing with my Curtains
hahahahah!!!
You’re still working on that?
**Note: That is an inside joke from chat, you all should be there!**
After much difficulty, I was able to place my marker, it should be in Cairo, Egypt, but it just stuck in the middle of the desert. Better than nothing though, since before that it placed me in the following:
1. Middle of the Atlantic
2. The Crimea
3. Central India
4. A little bit offshore from Ghana
5. Iraq!
Cheers,
If you have trouble with coordinates in the AHS map , then you can cut and past them from this utility.

I was able to get it to work by getting Latitude and Longitude from www.streetmap.co.uk
If you type in your postcode then it should give you a pretty good location. If you try placenames, it doesn’t find Sketraw, not even Alvah, but it finds The Pole easily so you should be able to get something good enough for jazz.
Scrolling down below the map there is an area of the Streetmap page on blue background, just above their copyright statement. It gives a URL to link to the map but also " Click here to convert/measure coordinates". That brings up a table that shows OS grid references, Landranger references and two forms of latitude and longitude. The all-numeric form of latitude and longitude can be pasted into Google maps.

After about an hour of tweeking with it, I got my marker within 1/4 miles (0.5 kilometers) from my home. In which direction is for you to guess!
after some tweeking I got my marker in the exact street where I live, and you can zoom in real close
I’ve got mine sitting on my apartment building.

Michael,
Tried everything in the post above. Even did a system restore back to Sunday (when it worked), but when I pass the cursor over a pin, all is says at the bottom is "error on page." Any other suggestions? I can see the map, I can see the pins, I just cannot get the information and the shields to display. (Someone lives there, but I don’t know who…!)

Michael,
I usually use IE. Jonathan suggested I download Firefox. Did that and the map works perfectly. I guess IE doesn’t like the map (and sometimes the chat room). Thanks! :D

I won’t tell Bill Gates.
The maps are fixed so they work with IE 7.
Thank you! Works like a champ!
