Dear colleagues,

let me to introduce my art interpretation of the arms of our friend Dave Boven who had so much patience to wait four years while I could painting his arms. Unfortunately, here there is too rigid limit of attachment’s size therefore I add two fragments of the picture where you can see more little details. Not all was simple in this case, I say. In particular, the relative positioning of a bow, grapevines and a border was a problem. Besides I should deprive with the gamecock of spurs (they would not be located in the crown), but I have supplied the gamecock with a big crest though true gamecocks have no crests for the reasons of specificity of fight. However the gamecock in the pure state, in my opinion, is less expressive rather than the usual cock. And I have made necessary changes cock’s shape for the sake of art.

Well, what do you think?

Александр!

Magnificent interpretation of the Boven arms. I have never been too pleased with the weighting of the charges on his shield though his most recent rendering from Japan was an improvement. The charges always struck me as a bit ‘light’. Making the charges more robust, fixed this visual issue. Wonderful illustration of the cock. Is anyone in this society surprised that you have created another masterpiece? The answer is no, we have come to expect great things from your talented and artistic mind.

That is a gorgeous emblazonment, Alex.  I, for one, would never have thought that this rendition had caused you so many problems if you had not said so, because the artistry is so masterfully executed.

Congratulations to both you and David.

I hardly deserve congratulations. I certainly didn’t do anything. I am VERY pleased with this painting. Alex has consistently done an amazing job. Thanks again.

 That is simply beautiful!  The level of detail is amazing!!  I think that is, by far, the most gorgeous emblazonment that I have seen so far…anywhere.

oooh very nice!!!!!

It looks so real, like you can touch the rooster. It looks extremely real, and not 3-D like it was from World of Warcraft or Call of Duty :D!

Superb Work Alex!!!!

True talent cannot be hidden.  A truly magnificent piece of artwork, Alex.  Unfortunately, no one will now talk to David for a while out of abject jealousy.  A very, very beautiful rendition!  Well done!

I also am impelled to voice my admiration of Alex’s masterful emblazonment.

Alex, do you have a website cataloguing your work?

Dear Guy,

of course, I have it: http://www.excurs.ru/gerb/Your_arms.htm (miniatures serve as buttons for transition to personal pages). Keep in mind, however, that we - I and Alex Boytsov - should arrange to protection against non-authorized use of pictures, therefore the sizes and quality of the published pictures are mediocre.
