Anyone read this?  I think it needs to be in the booklist if it is any good.

If it’s the one I think it is (and, given the date, I’m pretty sure it is), it’s all about academic costume, not about heraldry as we know it.  Not even particularly interesting—a description of the general code of academic dress as it existed at the time and a list of the hood colors for different colleges.  Things are a lot more interesting now as many colleges and universities have abandoned the standardization and gone to institution-specific styles of gown, especially for doctoral degrees.
