I note that the starfish are of different sizes. I presume that is a permissible artistic interpretation of "seme."
I suppose that there is no requirement for equal size with semy, so long as it fills the empty space of the field, which was the original intent prior to the diagonal pattern commonly seen. I can not think of any other examples off hand, however, where semy is shown unequal in size for precedence.
