This seems like the most logical place to post this message, but if it is not, perhaps a moderator can move it to someplace more appropriate. A couple of weeks ago, I went up north to visit Leh in Jammu and Kashmir. This area is very Tibetan in culture and was a great mountain getaway. One interesting thing about Leh was the large number of embroidery shops around the town. Most were producing t-shirts with depictions of mountains, but I decided to see if they could make a patch that I could sew onto my backpack. I’ve tried to attach a couple pictures (one of the patch being made and one of the finished product). I think that it turned out quite nicely and the Rs. 200 price tag was also very nice.

When I saw the subject line I thought this was a new transdermal medication to help people break the heraldry addiction.

Wow. Indian rupees or Pakistani rupees? Either way, it’s an incredible value! Almost makes one think about moving there to retire - the dollar goes so far.

I don’t know if the places in Leh have a web presence, but Sialkot, Pakistan, is full of badge embroidery companies and has a directory of them with links at http://www.sialkotexport.com/industry/Exporters_Badges.aspx.
