I started with a per fess partition, but it didn’t give enough clear field to show off the blades of grass.

I have to agree with Kenneth on this one.  Having the bottom a solid color doesn’t work quite as well, and the third one os bordering on being too hectic.  End the end, number one is the most tasteful.
