Isn’t it nice when one come across something new when searching for something completely different. Here is the CoA of the 389th Bombardment Group.

It is pretty good I think.
The 389th was contituted on 19 December 1942 and activated 24 December. Moved to the United Kingdom June-July 1943 and was active in the ETO rest of the War. Temporarily detachment to Libya and Tunisia. Returned to the UK October 1943 and participated in the Bomber offensive, dropped supplies in support of the Airborne Crossing of the Rhine March 1945. Flew its last combat mission in late April 1945. Returned to the US and deactivated Charleston AAF, South Carolina 13 September 1945.

2nd bomb Group. The Crest is a Cloud proper surroundig a Hurt charged with a Lightning Or. Motto Libertatem defenduimus = We defend freedom. Approved on 19 January 1924 and Motto added 15 April 1940.
