Just finished this and thought it turned out pretty well—digital gold leaf.

Wow! Is the lion an original design? If so was it drawn by hand and scanned, or using digital tablet and stylus… or mouse drawn?
Very very nice looking lion!
The lion was drawn by hand and then scanned and colored digitally.
Very Nice, Joseph! I really like the gold leaf, but what draws my eye is the hint of depth on the argent charges.
It turned out pretty well indeed. I’ve said it before and it bears repeating. You should do more of this!
Very nice! The gold leaf came out amazing.
Stunning.
Joe, very impressive!
very nice !
Joseph,
Very nice! I’ve asked before and I’ll ask again: do you accept commissions?

Edward, very flattering, but no. Not for now at least. Too many other irons in the fire.
Best,

Best,
You need to make a bigger fire.
Well done, Joseph. The lion is great, and I particularly like the antique shade of Or.
Very nicely done Joseph, I love the style.
Wonderful! How did you do the gold? That is a trick I need to learn!
I found a good photograph on line of a coat of arms painted with gold leaf and copied a area about 100 pixels square, then pasted it repeatedly, overlapping at random, until I had the area I wanted, then superimposed a shield outline on top of it and erased everything outside the shield.
There’s probably an easier way, but I don’t know what it is. If you blow up the image, you’ll find that the gold area is a hodgepodge of different colored pixels in various shades of yellow, orange, light brown, etc.
