Hi, my name is Catherine Allardyce and I am a scholar of sorts. A really wonderful man known online as MacMillian of Rathdowne gave my husband (commonly known online as McMurdo) a book called Heraldry in America by Eugene Zieber when we visited him and his lovely wife.

I have read it and until now never really thought about Heraldry in America. I’m American born so even in the school system it was never talked about despite taking AP American History back a number of years that I shudder at think about.

Traditionally, I am not a very high poster. I tend to be more of a reader of posts.

Well, welcome to the forum Catherine, it’s nice to have you join us.  There certainly is a lot of information to read here on the message board alone, so I’m sure you won’t become bored anytime soon.
