Finally, I too, am a member of the AHS, and have been for almost 10 minutes!

(By the way, when signing up I noticed that the form isn’t adapted for us foreigners joining… My country doesn’t have states for one thing.)

You were already set up.

Hi Mr. Pres. For the record, I just signed up today, as I was going to when the previous version went down. So, I don’t expect my status to be changed right away, as I don’t know how fast “PayPal” works with you folks.

But, since you are looking to weed out who is and who isn’t, well I am a paid applicant as of about 20 minutes ago…but eagerly (trying patiently) waiting for it to all get set up. (I feel like a kid at Christmas just waiting to get out of my room to see what Santa Claus had brought and this past week being down…well…was sort of like the month of December leading up to that glorious day!!! LOL)

I saw the e-mail come in as I was working on it and you and Mr. Bernsten (Above) are now set up!  Welcome!  Please forward a copy of your arms to me and Mr. Swanson and we will get them put up in the Member’s Arms section.

Glad this all had a happy ending.

I know how much it sucks for those running things when a forum crashes.

I agree with everyone else it is nice to see it back. Funny how you don’t miss something that much until its not there.

Anyway a job well done to all those involved. smile

Looks great guys.  I think Mike & TR have done an incredible job.  Thanks for all the hard work you guys put in on this.  I love checking this site several times a day.  I have to join the chorus in saying that I too was going through withdrawals while the forum was down.

Thanks again Mike & TR !!!

Congratulations, and thanks, to everyone who worked on the new site.  It looks great.

I too was beginning to get "withdrawal symptoms" - this is a very "addictive" forum.

Regards

Excellent job. We’re lucky to have such talented individuals in the Society. Onward and upward.

I totally agree and second that statement. I do not want to think of what might have happened if we did not have such talented people in this society - especially since I had yet to pay dues and join and was going to do so the day it went down! LOL…I could’ve been crying in my beer for some time. wink

The NewPosts feature uses search functionality, which only AHS Members are able to use.

This is quite annoying for someone, who is interested to take part by reading and posting, but is not an AHS member.

That way taking part is very cumbersome.

Is one of the things on the officers’ "to do" list to post our policies on the "policies" forum?

In the past it has been our policy to use our real names in our signature blocks (or some such.) I would advise us to continue that policy as it encourages people to post only that which they are willing to stand behind under their own name.

Thanks.

Great job!  I’m really impressed with the look and layout.  Right now I’m just learning the new structure.  I probably won’t be posting too much right away.

For some reason the rules of posting say I can’t post a new thread.
