Today I was privileged to receive the Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service Medal, the highest honor my department confers on civil servants. Here’s a re-do of one of the achievements of my arms in our gallery with the new decoration added to the two other, lower medals (Meritorious and Exceptional Civilian Service Medals).

I know the medals are a bit out of proportion to the shield, especially with three of them. Think of this as an interim version until I can redraw the whole thing.
My heartiest congratulations, Joseph.
Bravo!
Congratulations! How long have you been with DoD?
Congratulations Joseph! And your arms do look exceptionally nice with the medals underneath.

A little over 33 years. (And thanks to all for the congratulations!)
Congratulations, Joe. Well earned and well deserved.
Well done, Joe!
If you’re able to remember details, formulate coherent thoughts, and present arguments at your job half as well as you do in our hobby, then I’d say it’s long overdue.
congrats!
Well done Joe! :D
