Greetings All,
It has been quite a while since I’ve been active on this forum. Part of this inactivity is a result of my daughter (who will turn two next month). With this little heraldic heiress presumptive keeping my busy, there is little time to think about heraldry. The other thing that has kept me away from here is my education. In an attempt to make myself more marketable on the job market, I’ve been working through a master’s degree program in educational and social research. My interests have been leading me to study informal learning communities. The American Heraldry Society and this forum are excellent examples of such communities of practice. This, of course, leads me to the point of this message. I was hoping to do some research here and wanted to be sure that this wouldn’t be a problem with the Board of Governors. Essentially, I’d like to make a voluntary survey available to members of the forum regarding people’s experiences here. This is solely for research and is not commercial solicitation in any way, but I thought I’d check first to make sure it was alright with the moderators. Thanks a lot.
Peace,
Dave Boven
If the moderators and board agree..
I as a member am all for it!

So am I. However, since this forum is international, would you be interested in all members taking the survey, or only US residents.
Absolutely!
Sounds like fun!
I’m not on the board, but you have my green light.
Hi David, FWIW, you have my vote of support for this. I will gladly complete your surveys.
Me, too.
Well…I suppose it would have been more prudent to send PMs to the individual governors to ask their opinion. I’ve kind of defeated my original goal in asking for the go-ahead publicly. Sorry about that.
Peace,
Dave
PS - I’ll wait for an official word and then post a link to the survey.
