I was fortunate enough to have the extremely talented digital heraldic artist Ljubodrag Grujic paint my badge (which was designed with assistance from this forum) last summer.  The blazon is: A cross erminée Or between four oak leaves in saltire Azure. He painted three different versions.

Here is the first version:

I will post the other two versions as separate posts.

Here is the second version.  This version is identical to the first except that Ljubodrag eliminated the black outline.  To nice effect I think.

And here is the third and final version.  As you will undoubtedly notice in this version he made the oak leaves a bit smaller.

I couldn’t be more pleased with how these renderings turned out!  Ljubodrag did a spectacular job as usual.  I am amazed at the detail of the oak leaves and how the gold of the cross has a depth that makes it look almost like it was hand painted.  I look forward to hearing everybody’s reactions!

All the best,

Travis

Wow Travis!

Very impressive badge, even more so rendered by Ljubodrag. :D

A simple and elegant badge in the best traditions of heraldic design and art.

Dear Travis,

A nice badge.

However, I am unable to discern any difference between the first and second postings.

What am I missing?

I depends a lot on your monitor, but the heavy black outline in the first is toned down quite a bit in the second.

Iain,

It is probably hard to tell at the reduced resolution but the second version does not have a black outline around the leaves or the ermine spots.  Rather, the outlines are blue and gold respectively.  Admittedly a minor difference!
