I wanted to share with my AHS family, how I was greeted this morning from my eldest son :

He came up with it all on his own.  When mommy asked when he drew this card for daddy, he said he did it first thing this morning when he woke up.

He continues to ask me questions weekly about our family coat of arms: who can use it, why we have it, where can we use it, etc.  It really puts a smile on my face with each & every question he asks.  smile

So in the light of the wonderful gift I was given, I wanted to wish a very special Happy Father’s Day to all of the fathers in our forum.

That Jared is just so delightful and touching. I’m sure you’ll cherish this and keep it, so one day Jacob will also be able to look back on it and if nothing else, smile at his spelling of ‘HaPee’.

Perhaps the finest emblazonment of your arms you’ll ever have. Congratulations.

My thoughts exactly.  I have even thought about having them added to my Member’s Armorial page!  wink

Among my gifts, was this very nice t-shirt from Roots (a retailer that does a lot of Canadiana-themed apparel).  It’s got an old version marshalling of the provincial arms.  Notice that Newfoundland is missing, and that the "other" arms of Nova Scotia are used.

Interestingly, I saw this from the Hudson’s Bay Company as part of their Team Canada Olympic collection.  It’s a strange mash-up of various elements taken from provincial arms.  I don’t care for it much.

My girl and her new banner, on my late father’s 100th birthday.
