Last year there was a big to do in Brunswick, Maine about Kestrel. The Navy Base was closing, and Kestrel began courting the state with the idea of opening up more manufacturing at the closed base, offering over 300 new jobs.
It turns out they flirted with the state simply to make Wisconsin jealous and offer better incentives to open the manufacturing there instead. It worked and the rest is history.
Suffice to say they have a really attractive logo with obvious heraldic influences:
