Scarf with the arms of Mr Pogulyaiko handmade (i.e. hand-sewn and hand-embroidered) by my sister Marina. Very simple fabric - ‘dirt’n'washing friendly’ - was chosen because this item is for a boy of thirteen, and these guys usually are not as neat with their dress as the elders:)

What a wonderful way to personalize ones arms. Superb workmanship is always a delight. Thanks for sharing Mitya,
Just beautiful.
It’s even more amazing when you consider the overall dimension of the arms in relation to the width of the scarf. I am guessing it is somewhere between 4 and 9 inches wide. That is an incredible amount of detail in such a small space.
Has she used different colored thread to simulate the shadow within the helm or is that just the way the light is falling on it? Either way Mitya, your sister is a true artisan.
"Has she used different colored thread to simulate the shadow within the helm…?"
Yes. Just darker tones of the basic colour.
The height of the arms embroidered here is 12 cm.
Beautiful work! How long did it take?

I also love the Lynx. He seems much more furry then the bricks or the nebuly in chief.

Beautifully detailed work.
"Ноw long did it take?"
Dear Brad, I dont know the exact quantity of working hours, of course (I’m just a supervisor over the heraldic correctness here), but this scarf and the previous one (you’ve seen it: http://www.americanheraldry.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6520) were ready in 3-4 weeks. That doesn’t mean the work was done from the early morning to the late evening every day of the week:)
Beautiful work!
I would like to add that in my opinion the fine design and the superb craftmanship do deserve one another.
