As most of you are aware, my daughter’s arms carry a label of two points.  Until yesterday we believed it to be unique.  However, looking through this book on Portuguese Heraldry: Livro Do Amerio-Mor we found an example of a label of a label of 2 points on these marital arms.

It’s my understanding the artwork is done by "the master Arryet" as stated in the book.  The artwork throughout is fantastic - I understand it’s from the 1500’s.

That’s an interesting element indeed. The "points" of the "label" are in fact the arms in the sinister half of the 2nd and 3rd quarters of the sinister arms on the next page.

Junior members of the Portuguese Royal Family are known to use their maternal arms as the points of their labels.
