St. Michael’s Preparatory, Orange County, California

St. Michael’s Preparatory School is a Roman Catholic, boys’ boarding, college preparatory school run by the Norbertine Fathers of St. Michael’s Abbey. The school serves families whose sons demonstrate moral commitment and academic potential. St. Michael’s Prep offers a classical sequence of courses at College Prep, Honors, and Advanced Placement levels. At the end of first and third quarters, oral and written exams are administered. A semester test week at the end of the second and fourth quarters mirrors a college setting. Grades at the semester are a composite of quarter marks and semester exams. All graduates go on to college. The school is situated in southern Orange County at the junctures of El Toro Road, Live Oak Canyon, and Santiago Canyon Road. Student enrollment is approximately 60. St. Michael’s Prep is the primary apostolate of the priests of St. Michael’s Abbey, many of whom teach in the school. The Norbertine Fathers have a tradition that spans over eight centuries of experience in education.
