Quote:

ARMS (Shield) of three fields, the DEXTER CHIEF (or top right as the shield is carried), the Coat of Arms of the Earls of Chester (three sheaves of grain) for whom Chester County was named.

The SINISTER CHIEF (or top left as the shield is carried), the Coat of Arms of the Earl of Montgomery, (a lion rampant), for whom Montgomery County was named.

BOTTOM FIELD, the heraldic symbol for water or a stream; representing the Schuylkill River being crossed by four linked open books, symbolic of the four school districts which joined together to provide a Better Educational Institution for the Area

THE COAT OF ARMS incorporates the fact that the school district is formed from parts of Chester and Montgomery Counties.  The lower section represents the four separate districts—Upper Providence Township, Limerick Township, Spring City, and Royersford—united to provide this outstanding educational institution for the betterment of scholastic opportunities for the youth of the area.

MANTLING.  The shield is surrounded by classic mantling, the protective coat education gives the individual, provided by the school system.
