Seb Nelson posted a message to rec.heraldry about the new artwork on Andrew Jamieson’s webpage. All of his artwork is beautiful, but I was interested in this coat which seems to show the use of the Society of Cincinnati insignia in the acheivement. On this forum, I remember discussing uniquely American things that might be included in an armorial achievement. The Society’s insignia were mentioned, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen it used before.

Yes, you’re right, that is the Soc.Cinc. insignia.  Guess we need to expedite the issuance of our standards of conduct before this sort of thing gets out of hand!  (Like that will matter…)
