I must say that I like the this one the best.

For a second choice I would choose either of the asymetric versions.

I actually think this one is interesting, due to the elephant charge and the flaunches.

I agree.  This is the best that has been proposed, in my opinion.  The elephant/tower could be worked into the crest quite easily.  Perhaps, an elephant’s head caboshed wearing a mural crown?

Actually, I rather like the one that is Gules three roses in pale Argent barbed and seeded proper in dexter flank two pallets Argent.  It’s different, asymmetrical yet well balanced.

I have to agree with Joseph. The shield isn’t really thrown off by the pallets. They just make it interesting and less common looking. It makes it more likely that the design has never been used before and adds a bit of unique creative touch to it.

Yes, if you want to go asymmetrical, this is by far (IMHO) the best I’ve seen!

I must say I rather like this best. Being a fan of the archaic, I even like these roses better than those barbed and seeded proper. Perhaps they should not be pierced, but I like the strength of such old fashioned charges.

I like that one best too.  I wrote a message and deleted it earlier, thinking that I was off base.  But of all of them, the blue/white chequey design is the one that sticks in my mind.

I wholeheartedly concur.

Originally, I simply concurred, but that was too few characters, so I reexamined my position.

One drawback of flaunches is that they sometimes indicate illegitimacy.

I like the one with the roses and pallets as well.  IMHO, it’s the best contender for your arms so far.

This one is currently my favorite.  It is simple yet I believe distinctive.  My second choice is with the flaunches and Checquy.  The wife thinks it looks a bit "busy" but I am not sure I agree.  I will post up and image of the first one with the older roses (not barbed) so we can all have a look.

Thank you all for you advice, ideas, opinions and designs.  They are much appreciated and welcome.

Respectfully,

Terry

According to A Complete Guide to Heraldry by Fox-Davies, there is only one example, and it did not use flaunches but something that looked like it.  So this is a myth.

Here is the "dexter flank two pallets Argent" with the roses from the image Colin was kind enough to do.

I have attached both so we can see the roses side by side
