I just got my window stickers from Cafe Press in the mail today.

I laid out three shields on their custom bumper sticker (see image below), giving me two large and one smaller stickers. The key with this, if you have tinted windows, is to put it on a black background. Then you don’t have to worry as much about how precisely you cut around the image. I left a good 1/8" all the way around and you can’t even really see it against the window. Since my charges are all Argent, I chose to do the outlines in white and I think it came out quite nicely.

I’ll let you know how the new sticker holds up to the elements.
They look great!
It’s amazing what you can do at CafePress
Very clean and professional look. I like it.
Very nice, Kenneth! It matches your car too. :D
Cheers,
Please forgive the mundane expression, but…."That looks SWEET, dude!" :D
Take care,
i think this is a very nice reflection on your design, but also on a very fresh - for me anyway - expression of heraldry in a modern way. i’ve seen many a national coat of arms with the name of the nation on many a car/suv/truck here in Colorado, but never, to my knowledge, personal arms. very nice Kenneth.
One very good use of heraldry that I saw yesterday in the supermarket car park was the spare tyre cover of a 4x4 with a clansman’s crest-badge on a tartan background. That works particularly well since it is a round shape.
Unfortunately I didn’t even have my mobile phone on me at the time so no pictures :(

Hey, that looks nice!! I did the same thing with the bumper sticker.

They hold up quite well—for about a year. Mine faded after about a year, yet it is still identifiable. I’m just too lazy to scrape it off and replace it.
If only CafePress would make static-cling types of window stickers!!!

Amen! Anybody know of a company that does them? I’m having no luck Googling.
Of course the problem with the static cling style is that they are meant to be put on the inside of the window. So many of us these days have tinted glass and that means that your decal doesn’t show very well. I tried using transparency stock and my own printer. That doesn’t quite work as a traditional computer printer (can you imagine that? We have ‘traditional’ printers these days) doesn’t print white and so any Argent in your design in simply Clear. And trying to print a light gray has similar effects.
But replacing an exterior sticker every year or two is not such a big deal.
Nice display! Please keep me posted on how it stands up to the elements. I believe I will need to look into some of these
Nice Kenneth! I’d like to see something like that with just the Crest also.
I think that it’s awesome! :D:cool: Does Cafe Press make magnetic decals?
That’s what I’m interested in Stephen. It would alow you to move it as necessary. Of course, so could anyone else.
Jay,
Your link reminded me of another product I have seen.
Instead of having to print onto a magnetic sticker, this product, is simply a magnetic backing for any bumper sticker (assuming the sizes match).
